Find Your Place Online with a Digital Agency
Thursday, July 29th, 2010If you don’t think you need to employ a digital agency, read this. BBC figures show that UK consumers spent £33 billion online in 2009. And you can hardly blame them: the internet has opened the doors to convenient shopping for anything from food to computers from the comfort of our own homes. Still, £33 billion’s an impressive amount. What’s your company doing to earn itself a piece of that pie.
The whole world has gone digital. The high street may as well be online now. The massive growth of online retail represents a huge opportunity for businesses. This is especially true for smaller companies who might not have the high street presence they crave. Everybody’s equal online. At the very least, everyone has the potential to be. Just ask your digital agency! This means that even the smallest company can reach new customers easily providing their digital strategy’s good.
Unfortunately, too many smaller companies have fallen into the trap of neglecting their digital strategy. It is important to mention here that owning a website alone does not constitute a digital strategy. Where’s the point in paying for hosting for a website that’s impossible to find, hard to use and never updated?
Smaller companies often find that the investment required to employ a digital agency can be overwhelming. But it’s always worth investing in a good digital agency, because the return on your investment is only ever limited to demand for whatever goods or services you sell.
It can be incredibly daunting to hand over control of your web strategy to a digital agency. However, consider your digital strategy as a well-oiled machine with many components like web design, web development, SEO, e-mail marketing, PPC and copy-writing, amongst others. Allowing just one of these parts to fail could stall the entire machine. Finding the expertise to manage each cog of the online presence machine in-house will be either impossible or costly in terms of time and money. It’s lucky then that your digital agency has the talent to manage all of this under one roof. If just one company could build you a user-friendly website that’s as attractive to the human eye as it is the Google robots that scan it then provide you with the tools to keep it updated easily and then improve the site’s visibility and that of your brand using their web marketing expertise, you’d jump at the chance to hire them, wouldn’t you? And that’s exactly why you can’t afford not to use a digital agency.
